of its technicians to
deliver the quality needed on every project.
DataCom Tech I
- Reliable transportation
- Good References
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions
- Basic tool set
- 6 months solid experience
DataCom Tech II
- All Technician Level I Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Telecom tools such as punch tool, tone generator
- Have the ability to check and correct their own work
- One to three years experienceo Knowledge of EIA / TIA cabling standards,
BICSI, ANSI & IEEE standards - Know the color codes, such as 4-pair, 25-pair, 50-pair, 100-pair, etc.
- Backboard terminationso Station terminations
- Basic testing - use of Cat 5E / Cat 6 testing parameters
- Troubleshooting skills
- Detail and Customer service oriented
- Possess faster than average work pace
- Professional and courteous behavior with the Customer
- Ability to carry out directives from beginning to end
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
DataCom Tech III
- All Technician Level I and Level II qualifications
- Three to five years experience
- General construction knowledge
- EIA / TIA Pathway Standards Knowledge
- EIA / TIA Grounding Standards Knowledge
- Effective verbal and written communications skills with the Customer and crew
- Organization skills
- Lead / Supervise / Motivate
